Paul is British but has lived and worked in Zürich since 2005. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1993 and has spent the last 25 years in the international wine trade, working as a wine buyer for Thresher’s in the UK, General Manager for Watson’s Wine Cellars in Hong Kong, and Fine Wine Manager for Badaracco in Switzerland. He became a Master of Wine in 2011.
Paul has owned his own business called Real Wines since 2009, which specialises in sourcing and selling “terroir wines” from some of Europe’s oldest vines and best “bio”-producers, as well as some of the most exciting boutique producers of the New World. Paul also consults for Swiss Airlines and Vinum wine magazine. Outside of wine he enjoys most sports and has a particular love of Scotland’s castles, golf courses and whiskies!
