Dimitris Motsos is a PhD candidate at Democritus University of Thrace, focusing on cultural diplomacy, and holds a Master’s degree in Southeast European Studies from Law School of Thrace.
He holds the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wine and Spirits, which he completed with a scholarship awarded both for his overall performance and his skills in blind tasting, and he is currently at Stage 2 of the Master of Wine program.

From 2010 to 2022, he worked as Communications Officer at the Department of Development and European Planning of the Municipality of Pavlos Melas.
His first meaningful encounter with wine took place in 2011 during a trip to Provence, an experience that proved pivotal to his subsequent professional path.

During the same period, he was active as a Wine Buyer and Retail Manager at Cava Abatzis in Thessaloniki, while also organizing and presenting numerous wine seminars and tastings in Greece and abroad. He provides consulting services to restaurants and hotels across Greece and serves as a judge in international wine competitions, including the Balkan International Wine Competition (BIWC), and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

In 2013, he founded the blog www.winegeeks.gr, and since 2016 he has been writing about wine and gastronomy for www.parallaxi.gr and www.andro.gr, combining his passion for wine with the written word. He is an instructor at WSPC and served as Marketing & Communication Manager at Aiolos S.A. from September 2022 to 2024.

In 2023, he assumed the position of Director at Estate Argyros in Santorini, and more recently returned to Thessaloniki, where he began his collaboration with Trinity Wines as Area Manager for Northern Greece.
