Liza Vintzilaiou is a wine journalist from Athens, Greece. She holds undergraduate degrees in chemistry and oenology from the University of Athens, a graduate degree in Wine Management from OIV and a WSET Diploma in Wines (Level 4). She writes for Oenochoos magazine (the wine publication of Kathimerini newspaper), collaborates with Vinetum on its Greek Wine Vintages website and produces and hosts the podcast Behind The Wine. She has served on the juries of numerous international wine competitions. Previously, she worked in the wine import and distribution business and collaborated with Greek winemakers as a marketing consultant, as well as coordinating the early stages of the Wine Roads of Attica project. She is a founding member of the Greek Women of Wine association. In her free time, she enjoys travelling to wine-producing regions, especially those off the beaten track.
