    Oenologist Greece

After graduating from the Agricultural University of Athens as an agronomist specializing in
plant pathology, I began working as a laboratory manager in one of the oldest oenological
laboratories in my region. After just one harvest, I pursued an MSc in Oenology and
Viticulture at the Agricultural University of Athens, graduating in 2015.
This was followed by a harvest as an assistant oenologist at Domaine Tselepos, where I
realized that winemaking is both an art and a science. It demands a solid scientific
foundation, passion, hands-on involvement with the vineyard, imagination, and a touch of
romanticism—all elements that immediately captivated me.
Since 2017, I have been running the same oenological laboratory where I initially worked,
managing winemaking projects for both professional and amateur vintners. This role has
offered me the unique opportunity to analyze and taste hundreds of must and wine samples
annually. Naturally, this led to my involvement in wine tasting, and I am currently a WSET
Diploma candidate.
In parallel, my consulting work with wineries has allowed me the honor of seeing my
creations earn awards at international wine competitions. The pinnacle of my career so far
has been my two-year (2023–2024) collaboration with Pernod Ricard Winemakers NZ.
There, I worked as a vintage planning oenologist alongside globally renowned colleagues,
gaining the exceptional experience of utilizing one of the few artificial intelligence systems
applied to vineyards and wineries.
